This will be the last meeting of the Season!
Please join us!

NYSSA raffle tickets and money are due at this meeting. If you can not make it phone a friend get them to someone ASAP. The annual NYSSA Forum will be held on April 13-15th. Saturday the 14th will be the day for the big drawing - 4 sleds and many other prizes (hope you get a call). Ron, Mike, John and I will be attending the Forum as Delegates.

If you are a member in good standing see Marguerite for your NYSSA pin. 1/family. If you would like one you may purchase one for $3.

We hope stickers, T-shirts and Hats will be in. Also, if you placed a special order from the catalog please bring a check or cash to the meeting or phone a friend.

If you would like to join the trip committee please lets us know at this meeting. We would like to be able to present them at the annual BBQ.

Hope to see you all on Sept 8th for our annual BBQ @ the Rondout Valley Resort. Come for the day or stay and camp for the weekend. At this time will have our 1st meeting of the season and hand out vouchers.  So look for your news letter in August for more details.

January  Meeting Notes:

New Business:

1) Marguerite Stoddard was nominated as Treasurer and accepted.

2) Our club will remain on the DMV-NYSSA web site for registrants to pick a club.

3) The NYSSA Governors Ride was canceled.

4) The club shall purchase NYSSA pins for members in good standing (5 of the 8 meetings)

5) Ron passed around a sign up sheet for members interested in lending the town of Rochester a hand if a disaster were to occur. This means if we get snow and they need us and our sleds they will call us. If you were not at the meeting and you want to sign up call Ron-687-9875

Ticket committee report:

The drawing for the NYSSA tickets was held on Jan. 6th (I did not get a call) The tickets are still good for the April drawing so if you still have tickets keep selling. Please remember to bring all tickets and money to the meetings or contact a friend if you can't make it. You may also mail them to:

Finances:

The club will be reimbursing Anne for her services and upkeep of our web site $225

NYSSA News:

Last year 122,000 sleds were registered. This year only 6'7,000 and only 51,000 joined a club.

NYSSA donates money to Easter Seals and is asking the clubs to also. If you would like to make a donation please bring it to the next couple of meetings or mail it to the snowmobile club address above.

By-laws:

Because we are a NYSSA club we need to Tweak The By-laws to comply with the NYSSA rules.
Changes will be as follows-Article III Membership and Meetings Parts B and C- the change in membership fees and omit last part of F- voting on new members.
Article VIII Fiscal year from Sept1st-Aug31st. These changes will be voted on at the meeting.

December Meeting Notes:

Hope and Merry, Happy and Safe Holiday Season was had by all.

Did someone forget to ask for snow?

The new board will have it's first meeting on Jan. 9th

Anyone who did not attend the Holiday Party -- A great time was had by all. Thank you Julie!

We collected $200 and some odd $$$$, and the club donated $300 for the food pantry of Rosendale and perishables. Thank you Mandy!

November Meeting Notes:

New Business: Election of Officers - New officers are listed on the Officers page along with their contact info.

A laptop has been purchased for the Club! The cap was $600 and the cost was $592.91. Ernie - thank you for your assistance!

Christmas Dinner: will be at the Anchorage, December 15, 6pm to 7pm is Cash Bar, Buffet Dinner at 7pm. $15/members, $21 for guests, children under 12 $10. Please bring payment for reservations to the December 4 meeting.

Final reminder: make your reservations for the club trips (listed at right).

Old Business: All NYSSA tickets sold must be brought to the December 4 meeting or otherwise get to Anne O'Dell by January 5, in order to be included in the January 6 "earlybird" drawing. The final drawing is on April 15 at NYSSA's Annual Meeting in Rochester.

Club Logo - So far we have only had one member bring ideas, and they were good ones. Any ideas? Please bring them to the meeting.

Please help us come up with a Club Logo for sweatshirts, t-shirts, this website, etc! Bring your ideas or sketches to the meeting.
